Theme Thursdays is a fun weekly event, hosted byReading Between Pages, that will be open from one Thursday to the next. Anyone can participate in it. The rules are simple:
- A theme will be posted each week (on Thursday’s)
- Select a conversation/snippet/sentence from the current book you are reading
- Mention the author and the title of the book along with your post
- It is important that the theme is conveyed in the sentence (you don’t necessarily need to have the word)
This week's theme is TREES
p178, Burning Bright, by Tracy Chevalier
I'm making rather slow progress through this book at the moment, so I apologise from using it yet again for a teaser, but it worked out perfectly for Theme Thursday!
I used my book in Teaser Tuesdays....sometimes that's what we have to do.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog.
Sounds like a nice street.
ReplyDeleteI use the same book for an entire week almost. Doing some terrible slow reading.
ReplyDeleteA tree lined avenue must be great for a long evening walk. btw, Thanks for the cartload of suggestions.
Nice teaser but kind of sad. I used books I finished this week. Just the way it goes sometimes. :)

I'm a really slow reader, so I usually use the same book for two or more weeks. I wish I could read more and faster but what can I do, right?
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog.
I really like Tracy Chevalier's books but I haven't read this one.
ReplyDeleteGreat snippet!
