Teaser Tuesdays

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
--Grab your current read
--Open to a random page
--share two “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
Be sure NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
--Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teasers!

"Today I am queen and Louis is king. The old king is no more, God rest his soul."
p76, The Hidden Diary of Marie Antoinette, by Carolly Erickson

I've just finished my latest book, Letters from Home, by Kristina McMorris, and have yet to start the next one, so this is a teaser from one of the contenders for my next read!

This sounds like one that I would enjoy too. I really like historical fiction when the mood takes me.
