She doesn't need a flirtation with a lonely serviceman when she's set to marry her childhood sweetheart. Yet something happens the moment Liz glimpses Morgan McClain. They share only a brief exchange - cut short by the soldier's evident interest in Betty - but Liz can't forget him. Thus, when Betty asks her to ghostwrite a letter to Morgan, stationed overseas, Liz reluctantly agrees.

I've made some progress of late. Ticked off The Mermaid's Chair, by Sue Monk Kidd which was great, and also Emily Carr: the incredible life and adventures of a West Coast artist, by Cat Klerks.
What do you think you'll read next?
This is the hardest question each week! But I still have The Tapestry of Love, by Rosy Thornton on my bedside table, as well as The Master Butchers Singing Club, by Louise Enrich which I've been meaning to read for ages. Then A Year in Marrakech, by Peter Mayne has caught my eye again...
Any tips on how to get more hours into the day?
