WWW Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by Miz B of Should Be Reading
To play along, just answer the following three questions:
• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading?:
Chicago 1944: Liz Stephens has little interest in attending a USO club dance with her friends Betty & Julia. She doesn't need a flirtation with a lonely serviceman when she's set to marry her childhood sweetheart. Yet something happens the moment Liz glimpses Morgan McClain. They share only a brief exchange - cut short by the soldier's evident interest in Betty - but Liz can't forget him. Thus, when Betty asks her to ghostwrite a letter to Morgan, stationed overseas, Liz reluctantly agrees.
And an extra bonus: it's got such a beautiful cover
What did you recently finish reading?
I've made some progress of late. Ticked off The Mermaid's Chair, by Sue Monk Kidd which was great, and also Emily Carr: the incredible life and adventures of a West Coast artist, by Cat Klerks.
What do you think you'll read next?
This is the hardest question each week! But I still have The Tapestry of Love, by Rosy Thornton on my bedside table, as well as The Master Butchers Singing Club, by Louise Enrich which I've been meaning to read for ages. Then A Year in Marrakech, by Peter Mayne has caught my eye again...
Any tips on how to get more hours into the day?
I've never hear og The Master Butchers Singing Club, but I'm definitely adding it to my list :)
ReplyDeleteI'll be adding Letters from Home to my pile. Thanks!

Emily Carr - that sounds interesting!

I read Rosy Thornton's book "The Tapestry of Love" in January. It started off a bit slow but it wasn't long until I was drawn into the story. It was like a visit with a friend I hadn't visited with for a few years and we were catching up with our lives. I really enjoyed it, I kind of felt like I was on a mini vacation in the French mountains, but each has their own taste in reading material, so I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did.
ReplyDeleteOnly heard of the Mermaids Chair I think I have that on one of my shelves. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLetters from Home sound wonderful, I hope you enjoy. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteI hear you about needing more hours in the day! I need to find a way to get paid for reading!
ReplyDeleteAn interesting list of reads, and completely out of my area! But that is what's fun about these meme's!
Here is my WWW if you'd like to visit!
All of these are new to me. Looking forward to checking them out.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
Letters From Home is on my wish list. I am reading The Tapestry of Love right now and enjoying it. I need more hours in the day to read too! I used to read at night in bed but can't seem to keep my eyes open reading in bed these days.
ReplyDeleteGreat choices! I'm definitely going to have to check those out! :)
